President's Message

Dear Fellow Barrington Community Members,

As President of the Barrington Fraternal Order of Police, and on behalf of our entire membership, I would like to express my sincerest appreciation for your ongoing support of our cause. It’s precisely because of people like you that we took an oath to serve and protect our great village. When we chose a career in law enforcement, we all took that oath to serve and protect, which is not something we take lightly. Every time we put on the badge, our number one priority is protecting the life and property of everyone that resides within our village limits. As an organization, we are dedicated to providing our officers with all the necessary tools and resources needed to accomplish this goal.

The Barrington FOP consists of the finest sworn officers in the profession, all of whom have taken an oath to maintain the peace and safety of the citizens and businesses we serve, while also upholding the highest of moral standards. You can rest easy knowing that each and every day, we are working diligently to build a safe and prosperous environment for everyone. Our members are more than just Police Officers - they are husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters. They are just as much a part of the community as you or I or anyone else that resides in Barrington. Therefore, they have a vested interest in keeping our neighborhoods safe and peaceful, because at the end of the day what matters most is getting home to our loved ones.

Our community has changed so much over the past few years and it will continue to change, especially as we dive deeper into this technologically advanced age. We always want to remain transparent when communicating with members of the community, which we hope will help in creating a more robust relationship. Not only do we welcome your feedback, we encourage it; in fact, there is nothing we value more. By reaching out and actively engaging with our community, we honestly feel like we can make a positive difference in peoples’ lives.

Thank you again for your unwavering support. We are proud to serve such an amazing village. May you and your family stay safe and healthy for years to come.
