2024 Food Drive
As we enter the season of giving, the Barrington Fraternal Order of Police is again seeking to assist those in our community who are in need. This year, we have partnered with the Barrington Fire Department to collect more food than ever!
We are accepting non-perishable food items in the lobby of the Barrington Police Department until mid-December (December 13, 2024).
Additionally, we will collect donations in person on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 8 AM to 4 PM at Jewel-Osco (150 W. Main St) and Heinen's (500 N. Hough St).
All items and monetary contributions received will be donated to local food pantries, benefiting the many people they serve.
Specifically requested items include:
- Instant coffee (small/medium jars) and tea bags (green and black)
- Flour and granulated white sugar, brown sugar
- Dried beans, lentils, white, black, and split peas, as well as macaroni and cheese
- Cereal and oatmeal
- Spices: garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, dill, coriander, and curry
- Fish in individually sealed packets
- Powdered milk (packets)
- Juice: tomato, V8, and apple
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we once again came close to collecting 2,000 pounds of food last year! Can you help us surpass that amount this year?
Thank you in advance for your help and support! We look forward to updating you soon on the success of our Food Drive and seeing you in person on Friday!
